What is CDW
(Collision Damage Waiver) & SCDW ?

CDW limits your financial liability for damage to the rental vehicle, its parts and accessories, except theft, attempted theft or vandalism, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.

Prepaid rentals can often include CDW  --If your rental includes the CDW coverage:

It will act as an "insurance policy"  and protect you from having to pay for damages in the event your rental car in involved in an accident.  But CDW has a Non-Waivable Excess--That is a  "deductable.  All rentals are subject to a non-waivable excess, or a deductable (excluding tax) depending on the vehicle group rented, for which you are responsible in the event of damage to the Rental vehicle during the rental.  This can range from $200.00 up to $2500.00 for which you would have to pay if the car is damaged.

You can further reduce this excess liability or the cost of the deductable with  Super CDW.

If you opt for CDW coverage, you may also wish to purchase an additional protection, Super CDW, to reduce the already limited liability in case of damage to your rental vehicle  to either -0- or a very low amount (excluding tax). Super CDW can only be purchased at time of pick-up

If you would like this additional coverage to protect you from the Non-Waivable Excess, the make sure you obtain this when you pick up your car at the rental counter.

Super CDW may not be available in all countries, for all car types, when the main driver is less than 30 years old or for rentals of less than 3 days.

Protect yourself!

No need to "buy the car" if you have an accident!
